Referencing

There are many reasons that referencing is important. Primarily, referencing ensures the writer avoids any issues of copyright and plagiarism. However, referencing also allows for readers to find additional resources and readings, assists with giving a piece structure, and can help the author return to a source at a later date. There are different styles and it is important to check with a lecturer or teacher as to which is the preferred method in a given subject or field.
